Recap: Oregon vs. Washington St

Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Moser scored 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots as the Oregon Ducks defeated the Washington State Cougars, 67-53, in a Pac-12 Conference bout at Knight Arena.

Joseph Young tallied 18 points and dished out a team-high five assists for Oregon (18-8, 6-8 Pac-12). Jason Calliste contributed 12 points in the win, which was the third in a row for the Ducks.

DaVonte Lacy netted 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting to lead Washington State (9-18, 2-13). D.J. Shelton chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double in the losing effort. The Cougars have dropped six contests in a row.

Washington State connected on 42.9 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, including 4-of-9 from 3-point distance, and took a 31-24 lead into the intermission. Oregon struggled a bit in the frame, netting 38.1 percent of its shots from the field, but did hit 4-of-8 from deep.

The second half was much different for the Ducks, who hit 56 percent of their shots, including 7-of-12 from 3-point range. The Cougars collapsed in the period, hitting just 24 percent of their tries, including 2-of-13 from long range. Oregon outscored Washington State in the half, 43-22, to take the lead and the victory.

Oregon forced 17 Washington State giveaways, and outscored the Cougars in points off turnovers, 24-7. The Ducks also outscored Washington State from 3- point range, 33-18. The Cougars had the edge from the free-throw line, 17-12.
