Columbus State women's golf team drops a spot to fifth

The Columbus State women's golf team shot a 345 in the final round of the TSYS Collegiate Classic on Tuesday. Its highest round of the tournament dropped the Lady Cougars a spot to fifth.

Lee had Tuesday's best round and won the team title with a three-round score of 934. Lander (939), Montevallo (950) and West Alabama (996) rounded out the top four.

Ciera Bagler had CSU's best score Tuesday with a 9-over 81. She finished at 252 and in a tie for 22nd, her career best finish.

Freshman Courtney Lowery had CSU's best score for the tournament. She shot an 82 to finish at 244, tied for 15th.

Steph Charteris finished in a tie for 20th with a 249 total after an 87.

Jodi Henley shot a 95 Tuesday and tied for 31st at 260.

The tournament was played at the Country Club of Columbus.

Columbus State will play next in the Lady Pirate Invitational on Monday at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.
