Keegan Thompson throws 1-hitter as Auburn defeats Presbyterian 3-0

AUBURN, Ala. -- Keegan Thompson threw a one-hit shutout Saturday as Auburn defeated Presbyterian 3-0 at Plainsman Park.

Thompson of Cullman, Ala., threw only 90 pitches in dominating Presbyterian hitters.

Auburn (5-5) picked up one run in the fourth and added two more in the sixth inning.

Anfernee Grier (Smiths Station) had two hits for Auburn.

Thompson is now 2-0.

Presbyterian (5-4-1) defeated Auburn 10-6 in the series opener Friday night.

The two teams meet again this afternoon at 1 p.m. CST.
