Georgia Tech completes sweep of Bowling Green


ATLANTA -- The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got by Bowling Green 8-5 Sunday to complete a 3-0 sweep.

Bowling Green had a big three-run inning in the top of the second, but Georgia Tech answered by scoring four runs in the bottom of the innings.

Bowling Green cut the gap to 6-5 in the top of the fourth, but two more insurance runs kept the Yellow Jackets on top.

Mott Hyde went 1-4 with three RBIs for Georgia Tech. Matt Grimes (1-0) picked up the win. He pitched 4 2-3 innings and gave up one hit with three strikeouts and a walk.

Georgia Tech (7-4) will travel to take on rival Georgia Tuesday at 7 p.m.
