CSU track teams set four school records


The Columbus State women's track team finished in second place at the Adonica Ferguson Relays at Brookstone Sunday with a score of 145. Columbus State's men's team finished third overall with 115.5 points.

CSU set four school records on the day. The first came in the 4x400-meter relay when the team of Shanila Chapman, Tiera Roberts, Rachel Dixon and Jue'l Beasley finished with a time of 4:05.76. The team of Kaity Howard, Tiera Roberts, Renee Usher and Moneque English finished in a school record 13:14.64 in the distance medley.

The team of Xaviar Matthews, Isaiah Lay, Norbert Ferrell and Zachary Benjamin finished the 4x200-meter relay in a school record 1:29.48, and the team of Cody Mallchok, Chris Williams, Nathan Reeves and Jacob Dirkman set the men's distance medley school record with a time of 10:33.49. Jaccob Mobbs won the 3000-meter with a time of 9:24.46.
