Camera found in wall between motel rooms

March 5, 2014

The LaGrange Police Department is investigating the Monday discovery of a small handheld camera sticking out of the wall of a couple’s hotel room.

A woman, 39, and man, 32, were in room No. 139 at the Town and Country Motel when one of their two children at the motel saw an object sticking out of the wall of their room around 1:30 a.m. After seeing the object, the woman pulled on the object which was later determined to be a handheld camera.

She pulled on the item adjoining room No. 138 in an attempt to identify it. The woman then heard noises from the adjoining room before someone in the other room also pulled on the camera.

A short time later, the person in the next room left the motel.

No suspect has been identified as the investigation continues. Anyone with information should contact the police department at 706-883-2642 or 706-883-2643.
