Suspect arrested in Columbus Inn Motel shooting

Less than 12 hours after a 24-year-old man was shot at the Columbus Inn, police have arrested a suspect, according to a news release.

Justin Shaun Greene, 24, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Greene will face contempt of court and no state driver's license charges during Saturday during an 8 a.m. Recorder's Court hearing. He is scheduled to receive a hearing for his aggravated assault and possession of a firearm charges Monday at 8 a.m.

Greene is accused of shooting the victim at the 3170 Victory Drive motel shortly after midnight Friday. Police responded to the shooting at about 1:30 a.m., according to the release.

The victim was rushed to Midtown Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
