Columbus State routs Salem International 20-2

The Columbus State Cougars had no trouble getting past Salem International Friday at Ragsdale Field. The Cougars scored 11 in the sixth and nine in the seventh in route to a 20-2 victory.

Jimmy Obermark went 2-6 with four RBIs for CSU including a two-run home run. Mike McGinnity (2-0) picked up the win for the Cougars. He pitched six innings and gave up no runs on five hits with six strikeouts and three walks.

Columbus State (16-7) will host Salem International for a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
