Georgia rallies to defeat Buffalo 11-10


ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia rallied for five runs in the fifth inning Friday to take the lead and held on to defeat Buffalo 11-10 at the Georgia Bulldog Invitational.

For the Bulldogs, Conor Welton was 3-for-4 and Nelson Ward went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs.

Jared Cheek (3-2) picked up the win and Kevin Hughes (1-1) got the loss.

Georgia (8-6) plays North Florida (5-6) today at 1 p.m. in the Georgia Bulldog Invitational at Foley Field.
