Students can apply for Smith Scholarship

March 8, 2014

The Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley, Inc. will select one local student in 2014 as the recipient of the James Henry Smith and Gladys Manning Smith Scholarship. The scholarship will pay up to $7,000 annually for four years of college education. The Smith's estate plan is to ensure that young people in the Columbus area are able to afford the education the Smiths could not. The scholarship is available to Muscogee County students. Application deadline is March 17. All area high schools have received copies of the application form and guidelines. Additional copies may be downloaded by going to www.cfcv.com.
