Georgia Tech beats Wake Forest 5-1


ATLANTA -- The Georgia Tech baseball team got by Wake Forest 5-1 Sunday thanks to two big innings. The Yellow Jackets scored three runs in third and two in the fifth to pick up the win.

Thomas Smith, Matt Gonzalez and Elliott Barzilli each had an RBI for Georgia Tech. Matt Grimes (2-0) picked up the win.

The Yellow Jackets (8-7, 1-2) will host Western Carolina Tuesday at 6 p.m.
