Auburn gets by Mercer 6-5

AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn Tigers squeaked by Mercer 6-5 Sunday thanks to a walk-off RBI single by Ryan Tella in the bottom of the ninth.

Tella went 3-for-5 with an RBI for Auburn. Michael O'Neal (Pacelli) pitched 6 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on three hits with four strikeouts.

Auburn (9-6) will travel to Kennesaw State Tuesday for a game beginning at 6 p.m.
