Police find teens with firearm near Joyner Drive

Two juvenile boys were detained Monday after police found them with a firearm near Joyner Drive, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers reported to the intersection of Sweetwater Drive and Joyner Drive at about noon in response to an alarm. When they arrived, they found the 13-year-old and 14-year-old boys with the firearm. The type of firearm was not disclosed.

Both boys were charged with obstruction of police and possession of a firearm by a minor. They were taken into custody.
