Cottonmouths drop 3-2 match at RiverKings


SOUTHHAVEN, Miss. -- Jordan Draper helped rally the Cottonmouths to a 2-2 tie Tuesday night, but the Mississippi RiverKings prevailed with a winning goal in the final period.

The RiverKings led 2-0 before Sam Bowles got Columbus on the board with an assist from Draper at 9:05 of the second period.

Draper's tying goal came at 6:39 of the third period. He got an assist from Matt Gingera.

Mississippi's Matt Harrington got the game winner at 9:58 of the third period.

The Cottonmouths host Pensacola Thursday at 7:30 p.m at the Columbus Civic Center.
