When questioned about allegations he sexually molested three girls ages 9, 10 and 13 on March 20, 2012, Carlton Steve McKissic told police he had no memory of what the girls had reported, a detective testified Wednesday in Muscogee Superior Court.
Cpl. Valerie Holder said McKissic told her hes an alcoholic with other health issues, and sometimes has blackouts. He told Holder he recalled nothing from the night the girls said he sexually abused them, she said.
Holder said the girls told investigators the movie McKissic put in a DVD player for them to watch during a sleepover had sex in it. He's alleged to have started the movie after serving the girls cans of Natural Light beer, which they said they poured out and hid when he left the room.
The girls told authorities that after they fell asleep watching the film, McKissic crawled into bed with them, fondled all three girls and forced anal sodomy upon the 9-year-old.
Holder said the 9-year-old reported to police she later that morning told McKissics wife what had happened, but the wife ignored her complaints and told the girls to walk to school. They were walking up the street when the 10-year-olds mother picked them up, and they told her their story, Holder testified.
The mother took them back to the Enoch Drive home of McKissic's wife, where theyd spent the night, and called police to come there, Holder said.
Officers said the 10-year-old and 13-year-old told them McKissic previously had molested them on other occasions. But in court Wednesday, the girl who was 13 at the time denied McKissic fondled her, though police reports said otherwise. The girl, now 15, testified that she recalled only the youngest girl's reporting McKissic sodomized her.
Now 37, McKissic faces charges of aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and three counts each of child molestation and furnishing alcohol to minors.
According to court documents, McKissic's previous arrests in Muscogee County include:
Aggravated assault on March 18, 2006.
Simple battery (family violence) on April 17, 2006.
Simple battery (family violence) on May 29, 2006.
Theft by bringing stolen property into the state on Aug. 7, 2007.
Terroristic threats (family violence) on March 22, 2008.

Holder testified McKissic told her in 2012 he was subject to a restraining order prohibiting his visiting his estranged wife's home because of her repeated complaints of abuse. He claimed he could not recall the last time he saw his wife, Holder said.
McKissic was arrested on the sodomy and molestation charges March 22, 2012, two days later.
