Georgia baseball rallies past Western Kentucky


ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia baseball team finished a two-game sweep of Western Kentucky with an 8-6 win on Wednesday night at Foley Field.

Georgia trailed 5-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. The Bulldogs scored three times in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take control of the game.

Heath Holder drove in a pair of runs for Georgia, while Conor Welton went 2-foir-5 with an RBI.

Ross Ripple pitched two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win.

Georgia hosts Mississippi State in an SEC series starting on Friday.
