(Update) Columbus State, Auburn, Alabama and Georgia Tech change weekend baseball schedules

The weather forecast for rain on Sunday has forced three college baseball teams to change their weekend schedule.

Columbus State (18-7, 7-2 Peach Belt Conference) was scheduled to play Game 3 of its home series against Montevallo (15-8, 7-5) on Sunday. Instead, that game will become part of a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. at Ragsdale Field.

The first game of the SEC doubleheader will start at 1:35 p.m.

Game 1 is still scheduled for Friday night at 7:35 p.m.

Georgia Tech's finale against Miami has also been moved from Sunday to part of a Saturday doubleheader at Russ Chandler Stadium.

The first game Saturday will start at 3 p.m. Game 2 is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be televised by CSS.

Friday night's game remains as scheduled at 7 p.m.
