AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn added its fifth commitment for its 2015 recruiting class when three-star linebacker Montavious Atkinson gave his pledge on Sunday.

And he may not be the only player the Tigers land from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga., before next year's signing day. Atkinson's teammate is D’Andre Walker, a four-star defensive end. Atkinson told 247Sports — which first reported the news of his commitment Sunday — that there's a "95 percent" chance he and Walker would play together in college.

Though he's played linebacker during his three years in high school thus far, it is expected Atkinson will move to Star when he arrives on the Plains. The Tigers lose starting Star Robenson Therezie after this season.

After Atkinson's verbal commit, Auburn moved up one spot in 247Sports' ranking of 2015 classes, now up to No. 17.

The Tigers also have commitments from quarterback Tyler Queen, athlete Jason Smith, cornerback Tony Bridges and running back Elijah Sullivan.
