Tuesday night’s scheduled Phenix City Council meeting has been being moved from the Public Safety Building on Broad Street to the Roy Martin Center in District 1.

This is part of a plan by Mayor Eddie Lowe and the council to move one meeting a quarter out of downtown and into the districts. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the community room. The Roy Martin Center is at 1100 Airport Road near Garrett-Harrison Stadium.

There are plans later in the year to hold council meetings in District 2 at Central High School and District 3 at South Girard.
