ATHENS - Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann share a class and a backcourt, and now they share a postseason honor.

Georgia's two sophomore guards were each named honorable mention all-SEC by the AP on Monday.

Gaines, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard, is averaging 13.3 points, and leads Georgia with 55 made 3-pointers.

Mann, a 6-foot-5 point guard, leads Georgia in points-per-game (13.4), assists (93) and steals (32). He also leads the SEC in free throws made (178) and attempted (257).

The pair helped lead Georgia (19-13 overall) to a surprising 12-6 conference record, a berth in the SEC semifinals and a No. 2 seed in the NIT.

Georgia head coach Mark Fox also received one vote, out of a panel of 12 voters, for SEC coach of the year, which went to Florida's Billy Donovan.

Georgia opens play in the NIT at home on Wednesday against Vermont.
