Georgia blanks Presbyterian 11-0


ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia scored four times in the fourth inning and five in the sixth to blow the game open, leading to a 11-0 win over Presbyterian Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (14-8) got three straight RBI singles in the fourth.

Hunter Cole had the big hit in the sixth, a two-run single to center.

Nelson Ward, who singled in a run in the sixth, hit a solo homer in the eighth.

Jared Walsh picked up the win. He started and went five innings and allowed just two hits. Six relievers combined to pitch the final four scoreless innings, giving up just three hits.

Brandon Stephens and Stephen Wrenn had two hits apiece for the Dogs.

Georgia returns to the field at 8 Friday night at LSU for the first game of a three-game series.
