Mayor Teresa Tomlinson will hold the first of her four public forums known as “Let’s Talk with the Mayor,” Thursday evening at Gethsemane Baptist Church at 242 Kendrick Ave., the mayor has announced.

Tomlinson has held four quarterly public forums every year since she was elected in 2010, choosing sites at widely varying points in the city in order to reach the widest audience, she said.

Thursday’s forum is being sponsored by the church and the Winterfield on the Move Against Drugs organization.

Tomlinson, City Manager Isaiah Hugley, Councilor Mimi Woodson, administrative officials, city department and public safety representatives will be in attendance. This meeting is open to the public and will be video recorded for later broadcast on Columbus Consolidated Government Television Network.

The remaining three forums have been scheduled for:

June 19, Salvation Army Worship and Community Center, 5201 Warm Springs Road.

Sept. 18, Comer Gym, 107 41st St.

Dec. 11, Shirley Winston Gym, 5033 Steam Mill Road.
