Blake Logan drives in 6 runs to lead Auburn to 13-2 win over Coppin State


AUBURN, Ala. -- Blake Logan homered and drove in six runs Wednesday to lead Auburn to a 13-2 thrashing of Coppin State.

Logan had a 3-run homer in the second inning and added a 2-run single in the third. He hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to score Connor Short.

Jay Wade (3-0) gave up two hits over two scoreless innings to pick up the win. Dillon O'Brien (0-1) gave up seven runs on seven hits over 2 2-3 innings and took the loss for Coppin State (4-11).

Auburn had 17 hits on the day.

Auburn (15-7, 2-1 SEC) hosts Tennessee (18-2, 2-1 SEC) for a three-game series beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. The Saturday game is at 4 p.m. and the Sunday game is at 2 p.m.
