Hunter Webb drives in two in another Alabama rout of Alcorn State

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama picked up where it left off Tuesday and produced another rout of outmanned Alcorn State on WEdnesday night.

The Tide crushed Alcorn 12-0 on Wednesday, a day after a 17-3 win.

Freshman Hunter Webb (Russell County) got another start, this time at designated hitter. He went 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored.

Mike White had a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Casey Hughston went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Tucker Hawley (1-1) pitched the first seven inning and earned the win. He gave up three hits and struck out seven.

Jay Shaw (Russell County) and Mitch Greer finished the shutout with an inning of relief each.

The Tide (14-6) return to SEC play at Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
