Second home invasion suspect arrested

Columbus police say that a man wanted for armed robbery in Columbus for his suspected involvement in a home invasion on March 16 was arrested Saturday in Phenix City.

Joshua Jones, 29, is currently in the Russell County Jail. According to jail officials, he is facing charges in Alabama of being in possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and contempt of court.

Jones is suspected of being one of two people who held five adults and two children, at gunpoint during a robbery at a home on Twin Chapel Drive.

Katherine Hudson, the woman accused of participating in the robbery, appeared in Columbus Recorder's Court Friday.

She was charged with armed robbery and her case was held over to Muscogee County Superior Court . Judge Michael Cielinski set no bond.

Columbus police said no decision on extradition has been made yet.
