CSU men's track team finishes 10th, women 8th

ATLANTA -- The Columbus State men's track team finished in 10th place out of 23 teams at the Emory Invitational Saturday. The women's team finished in eighth out of 25 teams.

Alice Arnold set a school record in the pole vault by clearing 8 feet 4 inches.

The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Quenton Bradley, Jalen Tolbert, Norbert Ferrell and Xavier Matthews came in second with a time of 42.07, and the women's 4x100-meter relay team also came in second. The team was comprised of Shanila Chapman, Shelbi Guyton, Rachel Dixon and Ju'el Beasley.

The teams will compete again at the Emory Classic in Atlanta beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
