Lady Cougars drop 2 games against Flagler


ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Columbus State Lady Cougars fell to Flagler in both games of a doubleheader Sunday. CSU fell in the first game 6-2 and 6-1 in the nightcap.

In Game 1 Morgan Staffins hit a two-RBI double in the third to score the Lady Cougars only runs of the game. In Game 2 CSU's lone run was a solo homer by Staffins in the sixth.

Lindsey DeFee (3-3) and Taylor Turner (6-7) absorbed the losses.

Columbus State (20-13, 3-5) will play a doubleheader at Georgia Southwestern Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.
