Columbus State takes 2nd at Bearcat Golf Classic


NINETY SIX, S.C. -- The Columbus State men's golf team took second place at the Bearcat Golf Classic Sunday with a team score of 294.

Jack Stumpfig shot a one-under 71 in the third round, marking CSU's low score. He finished with a four-under 212 overall and tied for second place individually.

Bryan Lichimo shot a 74 (220) and finished tied forth 12th, Robert Mize shot a 75 (224) and tied for 20th and Cates Culpepper shot a 74 (226) and finished tied for 28th.

Columbus State will play in the Grub Mart Intercollegiate April 6-8 at Silver Lakes golf course in Glencoe, Ala.
