Auburn falls to Tennessee 8-6

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Auburn Tigers fell to Tennessee 8-6 Sunday.

Tennessee took a 5-0 lead into the top of the fourth before Auburn scored three runs thanks to a home run by Blake Austin.

Ryan Tella hit a solo shot in the sixth, Tennessee walked in a run in the ninth and Jordan Ebert hit a sacrifice fly for an RBI to round out Auburn's scoring.

Michael O'Neal (Pacelli) pitched five innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk.

Auburn (17-8, 4-2) will host Kennesaw State Tuesday at 7 p.m.
