Father says son beat him up, stole vehicle

Police are searching for a 28-year-old man accused of beating up his father before stealing a car Monday evening, according to a Columbus Police report.

The 55-year-old father told police that his son, Jay Evans, assaulted him before stealing his 2001 Saturn L-200 from his Crystal Drive mobile home.

Evans was described as a skinny, 6-foot-1 white man with short brown hair and brown eyes. The car was further described as a silver 4-door model with a tag number of PD310W.
