Damon Haecker drives in three in Auburn win over Kennesaw State

AUBURN, Ala. —Auburn almost blew a six-run lead in a 10-5 victory over Kennesaw State on Tuesday night at Plainsman Park.

The Tigers built a 6-0 lead before the Owls (12-16) rallied for five in the sixth inning. The Tigers put the game away with two in the sixth and two more in the eighth.

Damon Haecker went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Auburn. Sam Gillikin went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Ryan Tella hit a home run for Auburn.

Trey Wingenter pitched the first five-plus innings and earned the win. He gave up three runs on nine hits . Auburn (18-8) hosts Missouri for the first game of a SEC series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
