Big fifth carries Clemson to easy win over Georgia


ATHENS, Ga. —Clemson scored seven times in the fifth inning to blow the game open in a 13-4 victory over Georgia on Tuesday night at Foley Field.

The big blows of the inning were a two-run homer by Chris Okey and a three-run double by Steven Duggar.

Duggar finished 4-for-6 with four RBIs.

Stephen Wrenn drove in two of Georgia's run without a base hit. Nelson Ward had two of Georgia's six hits.

Georgia (14-11-1), which is 1-4-1 in its last six games, begins a SEC series at 7 p.m. Friday at home against Texas A&M.
