Bandits snatch $315 from Columbus man on Macon Road

A 30-year-old Columbus man was robbed of $315 in cash Friday on Macon Road, police said.

The victim wasn’t injured in the snatching in the 3200 block of Macon Road.

Police said the man was at one of the banks in the area about 5:47 p.m. when two men snatched money from him and fled.

Both robbers were described as black. One was 6 feet tall, 54 years-old and weighing about 210 pounds . He wore a black jacket, blue coveralls and a green hat. The second bandit was 6 feet tall, in his mid 50s, weighing 170 pounds and wearing glasses. He was dressed in a blue shirt, red tie and beige jacket.

The robbery remains under investigation.
