Man arrested for burglary on Warm Springs Road

A 25-year-old Columbus man, Jimmy Coleman, was arrested and charged with burglary 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal attempt escape Saturday after an incident at an apartment on Warm Springs Road.

According to the police report, officers responded to a burglary call at approximately 4:30 a.m.

A man there told them that around 2:30 a.m. he heard a noise that woke him up. He said he went into the living room and discovered a cousin Jimmy Coleman sitting on his couch with his right hand cut and bleeding. He asked Coleman how he had gotten into the house since the doors were locked.

When police officers arrived, they found a living room window broken. The cost of the damage was estimated at $300.

A cell phone valued at $250 and a glass vaporizer valued at $30 were reported taken.

The case remains under investigation.
