An investigation, that Columbus Police Capt. Gil Slouchick said on Sunday took several months, culminated Saturday in the arrest of three people for running a marijuana grow operation.

Arrested and charged with the manufacture of marijuana were 68-year-old Alexander Pinter, 69-year-old Louise Pinter and 29-year-old James Pinter.

All three list 3007 Fleetwood Drive in Columbus as their residence.

Slouchick said it was at that location that the Special Operations Unit of the Columbus Police Department served search warrants at approximately 10:30 a.m. Saturday and found the marijuana.

"It was being grown inside and outside the residence," Slouchick said.

He said the value of the marijuana discovered was more than $30,000.

The Pinters were taken to the Muscogee County Jail.

Slouchick said the Pinters are expected to be in Columbus Recorder's Court at 9 a.m. Monday.
