Lady Cougars go 0-2 against USC Aiken

The Columbus State Lady Cougars fell to USC Aiken in both legs of a doubleheader Sunday.

CSU lost the first game 4-3 and the nightcap 8-4 in eight innings.

Casey Googe had two home runs for the Lady Cougars between the games and Kristen Carr and Morgan Knight each had one.

Taylor Turner (7-8) and Abby Green (5-1) absorbed the losses. Turner pitched seven innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks.

Columbus State (21-16, 4-8) will host Lander for a doubleheader beginning Monday at 4 p.m.
