Tide bullpen strong in 3-2 win over Louisiana-Monroe

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and the Tide pitching staff spread four hits over nine innings Tuesday night in a 3-2 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Tucker Hawley (2-1) worked five innings and gave up two runs on four hits.

Three Alabama relievers pitched four innings of no-hit baseball to preserve the win.

Alabama (20-8, 6-3 SEC) was led by Georgie Salem, Mikey White and Wade Wass, who each had two hits.

Carey Taylor (2-2) allowed three runs on four hits and took the loss for Louisiana-Monroe.

Alabama travels to Texas A&M for a three-game SEC series beginning Friday at 7:35 p.m.
