Report: Man found with cocaine, gun after shots fired

A 36-year-old man suspected of firing gunshots on Lincoln Street was charged with cocaine possession Tuesday, according to a Columbus Police report.

Samuel Durham Jr. was stopped by police after officers received reports of shots fired in the area at about 10 p.m. He was found with an undisclosed amount of cocaine and a gun, which was not described.

No injuries were reported. Durham was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and taken to Muscogee County Jail.
