Murder suspect from Virginia arrested in Columbus

A suspect wanted for murder in Suffolk, Va., was taken into custody on Wednesday in Columbus, police said.

Monte Robinson, 21, was arrested without incident and taken to the Muscogee County Jail where he will be held for Virginia authorities, said Police Lt. Debra L. Bohannon.

The Fugitive Squad of the Columbus Police Department developed information about Robinson in Columbus. A brief investigation led to information on the suspect's location.

With help from the U.S. Marshals Service, police found Robinson at an undisclosed location and arrested him.
