Victim suffers fractures to back, arm after woman reportedly beat her

One woman is in jail after police say she beat another woman so bad she suffered multiple fractures.

According to a Columbus police report, Shenita Wilson, 29, was arrested April 1 and charged with robbery. Wilson later admitted to the assault.

The fight occurred March 26 at Home Town Foods at 1165 27th Street. When the officer arrived, he found the victim, who told the officer she was jumped by three people, one she identified as "Nikki." The victim told the officer the suspects stole $300 and a few other items not specified.

Two days later Wilson admitted to the beating but claimed she was taking back an item that were her property, police said. She additionally as charged with aggravated assault. The victim suffered fractures to her back and right arm and was admitted to the Midtown Medical Center.
