Rain expected Friday and Saturday

Did you have outdoor plans tonight or this weekend?

You may want to rethink that idea. A long line of storms is headed this way, with the National Weather Service predicting we'll see showers and thunderstorms likely after 5 p.m.

If you've been outside, you've probably felt sprinkles and seen the clouds. The high should be near 81 with Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. The chance of rain is 60 percent.

The rainfall is predicted to stay around through the night with new rainfall amounts possibly between a quarter and half of an inch.

Saturday's forecast is slightly better, but thunderstorms are still possible after 8 a.m., the NWS reports. The chance of rain during the day is 20 percent and our chances to see the wet stuff increase to 50 percent Saturday night.
