CSU track teams break 2 school records at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. -- The Columbus State men's and women's track teams competed in the Auburn Tiger Track Classic Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Cougars' 4x400 meter relay team, consisting of Shanila Chapman, Renee Usher, Rachel Dixon and Ju'el Beasley finished in a school record 4:04.63.

Chatil Bradford broke a school record of 44 feet 1.5 inches in the shot put.

Heath Lamb placed fourth in the 1,500 meters on Saturday with a time of 4:01.55

Nathan Reeves ran the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:52.09, good enough for fourth place.

Usher came in eighth in the women's 1,500 meters with a time of 4:50.88.

Columbus State will compete in the Peach Belt Conference championship meet April 17-19 in Rome, Ga.
