Eight Auburn pitchers combine to blank Troy

AUBURN, Ala. — Eight Auburn pitchers combined on a five-hitter as the Tigers blanked Troy 6-0 on Tuesday night at Plainsman Park.

Starter Daniel Koger went the first two innings, then a parade of relievers keep the shutout going. Among them was Michael O'Neal (Pacelli, CVCC), who pitched one inning and allowed two hits.

Ryan Tella led the offense, going 4-for 5 with three RBIs. Anfernee Grier (Russell County) had two hits and drove in a run.

Auburn (20-14) snapped a four-game losing streak with the win. The Tigers play at Alabama at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
