Lorys Marisol Padilla

Lorys Marisol Padilla, 48, was held without bond Tuesday night after being arrested for running a Norcross-area brothel, according to Channel 2 Action News.

"An undercover operation along with Homeland Security led police to the five alleged victims, and Padilla was arrested," Channel 2 reports. Padilla is charged with five felony counts of sex trafficking, five counts of pimping and "numerous charges related to running a prostitution business." She was held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail.

Padilla allegedly forced five women to act as sex slaves — a factor which surprised her neighbors. "That is really crazy actually (to) know people would actually force other people to do that," Jasmine Ramos told Channel 2. However, the illegal sex economy in Atlanta is enormous.

Padilla's apartment complex told Channel 2 it has started an eviction process.
