North Georgia takes 2 from Lady Cougars


The Columbus State Lady Cougars softball team fell to North Georgia in both legs of a doubleheader Friday.

CSU fell in the first game 8-0 and 7-3 in the nightcap.

Taylor Turner (8-11) picked up the loss in Game 1. She pitched three innings and gave up five runs on five hits with two strikeouts and three walks.

Lindsey DeFee threw for seven innings in the nightcap for CSU and gave up seven runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts and three walks.

The Lady Cougars (27-20, 8-12) will host Young Harris Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
