Georgia defeats Tennessee 7-4, wins third straight SEC series

ATHENS, Ga. -- Nelson Ward, Daniel Nichols and Zach Bowers each drove in two runs Saturday to lead Georgia to a 7-4 win over Tennessee.

Robert Tyler (4-2) allowed three runs on four hits and struck out five in picking up the win. David Sosebee picked up a save.

Kyle Serrano (3-2) allowed three runs on six hits and took the loss.

Nichols went 3-for-4 to lead the Bulldogs' offense. Stephen Wrenn went 2-for-5.

Georgia has now won three straight Southeastern Conference series.

Georgia (21-14-1, 7-7-1 SEC) travels to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs travel to Gainesville, Fla., on Friday to begin a three-game series with the Florida Gators.
