Georgia Tech falls to Florida State 5-4, wins series 2-1


ATLANTA -- The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fell to Florida State 5-4 Sunday but won the three-game series 2-1.

Georgia Tech scored all of its runs in the bottom of the first, but the Seminoles scored two in the fifth and three in the eighth to earn the close victory.

Brandon Gold went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Yellow Jackets, Connor Justus went 1-for-3 with an RBI and Thomas Smith went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Georgia Tech (23-14, 10-8 ACC) will host in-state rival Georgia Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
