AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Columbus resident Larry Mize shot a second-straight 7-over 79 on Sunday at the Masters.

Mize, 55, was 2 over after shooting 74-72 on Thursday and Friday. He made the cut for the first time since 2009.

He started Sunday with four straight bogeys and made another bogey on 6 to make the turn at 41.

Mize, who was one if six over-50 golfers to make the cut, made his seventh straight par on the par-3 12th despite hitting his tee shot in the bank over the green. He chipped down into a bunker, then holed out his bunker shot.

He made an eighth straight par on 13, then made a birdie on 14. After two more pars, Mize double-bogeyed 17 and bogeyed 18. He finished last among the players who made the cut.

Mize is scheduled to play on the Champions Tour later this week in the Greater Gwinnett Championship in Duluth, Ga.
