Moore's grand slam leads Alabama to 8-1 win over Jackson State


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Ben Moore hit a grand slam and Alabama exploded for seven runs in the seventh inning Tuesday to defeat Jackson State 8-1.

Tucker Hawley (3-1) worked seven innings of hitless relief to get the win.

Alexander Juday (4-3) gave up three runs on three hits in 1 2-3 innings and took the loss for Jackson State (23-16).

Moore, Georgie Salem, Wade Wass, Hunter Webb (Russell County) and Daniel Cucjen each had two hits for Alabama.

Alabama (25-11, 10-5 SEC) travels to Birmingham today to play UAB at 7:30 p.m.

The Tide goes to Knoxville for a three-game Southeastern Conference series with Tennessee beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
