Cracked windshield leads to meth charge near Hamilton Road

Police charged a 28-year-old man with methamphetamine possession Thursday after he was spotted driving with a cracked windshield, according to a Columbus Police report.

Billy Joe Burkett Jr. was pulled over near the intersection of Hamilton Road and 20th Street at about 2:35 p.m. Officers did not disclose the amount of meth Burkett was accused of possessing.

Burkett was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
